Festival tangkap sotong Langkawi meriah


LANGKAWI 26 Feb. - Sebanyak 223 kilogram sotong berjaya didaratkan di sekitar perairan Langkawi sempena program Suluh Sotong Langkawi 2011 yang bermula malam tadi dan berakhir di Jeti Kuala Cenang hari ini.

Ia disertai kira-kira 250 peserta mewakili 49 pasukan yang acaranya dianjurkan oleh Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi, Pengurusan Sumber Perikanan Kuala Cenang dan para pengusaha pelancongan.








Pasukan Rebak dengan tangkapan seberat 13.4 kg muncul pemenang kategori sotong terberat berpasukan untuk membawa pulang wang tunai RM3,000.

Team Pensil pula muncul naib johan dengan tangkapan seberat 13.2 kg dan menerima RM1,000 manakala kumpulan Sinar Pagi di tempat ketiga dengan hasil seberat 12.4 kg dan menerima RM800.

Pasukan Tanjung Rhu menjuarai kategori sotong terpanjang.

Timbalan Menteri Pertanian dan Industri Asas Tani, Datuk Wira Johari Baharom menyampaikan hadiah kepada para pemenang. - BERNAMA
